I was honored when Steve contacted me to photograph his elopement at Carneros Resort & Spa! I was even more thrilled when, even though the simple courthouse vows would be earlier in the day, he opted to wait until the beautiful glow of the golden hour at the end of the day for the actual wedding photos! It’s always a joy when the client understands just how much better the natural light is for outdoor shots.
I enjoyed every bit of the drive heading out to Carneros. I often forget just how lucky I am that I live in Sonoma County. It was a beautiful evening, the heat had died down, there was a slight breeze, and I took it all in; the rolling hills of vineyards for miles, the spell of summer, and when I arrived, the quaint and beautiful grounds of Carneros Inn & Spa! Driving in there is like arriving in your own personal town. Cute little cottages with front porches, and a gorgeous back yard with a tub, shower and and area to enjoy your morning coffee. And don’t forget the fire pit that is perfect for S’mores! It was such a treat to shoot on their property!
This couple met on e-Harmony. It’s funny how years ago, meeting someone online was crazy! Now? Totally normal, and honestly, way easier! I met my husband on okCupid so I can vouch for the online system working well! They showed me around the property, and there seriously were so many great spots to use! I loved all the greenery, and the pool area was amazing! I joked that I wanted to take a dip once we were done with the session. They definitely did a good job of making sure you have a great place to relax, unwind, the the view…yeah, truly spectacular!
This couple is from Florida and it was their first time in the Wine Country…something tells me they might come back for a visit!
