Happy New Year, everyone! I don’t know about you, but I was super excited for 2018 to get here already! The flu bug hit my family hard the 2 weeks of Christmas break and I was so ready to feel healthy again! The other reason I am excited is I have been itching to blog some helpful tips for my brides! This is the start of a blog series featuring Outdoor Wedding Venues in Sonoma County!
I am a wedding photographer, so I am well versed in venues, traditions, and honestly, I sometimes take that for granted. It’s time for me to take the knowledge I have and give it to the people who really truly need it-YOU!
Isn’t it so exciting to get engaged? The best part is that your new fiancé is the one that planned it all! And then, after admiring your new ring and taking a moment to update your status on Facebook, your mind starts to go nuts with a million ideas! Believe me, I get it! My poor husband got so many screen shots from Pinterest in that first week after he popped the question. He had no idea what he was getting himself into!
So, I’m starting a blog series. It will have helpful hints and tips from my past experiences, as well as photos to back it up (I mean, hello…I’m a photographer!)
Let’s start off with something dear to my heart– outdoor wedding venues in Sonoma County! I am a natural light photographer, so seeing a venue with an outdoor ceremony AND reception option makes my creative heart burst!
First on the list?
I love this venue for so many reasons! It’s so versatile, with a vineyard view, to a beautiful garden, an area for both bride and groom to get ready, cocktail hour, reception space for plenty, and a barn for dancing and enjoying a drink at the bar. What is amazing is how all of this is together, but it doesn’t feel cramped!
And, it’s extra special to me; I live under a mile away! Gotta love that commute!
