Fall Wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma Resort

As much as I love and appreciate photographing a wedding at a location I have been to and know well, there is an extra level of excitement over getting to go to a venue with fresh eyes - and that’s exactly how I felt with KP and Andrew’s Fall Wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma Resort!

I had met KP and Andrew a few months back for their engagement session, so we already knew we were excited to work out/hang out together - and we got the added element that we all had crossed our fingers for - that they wouldn’t have to deal with bad weather since there is no guarantee with weather in November- but they got blue skies and great temps!

Some of my favorite parts of the day were -

Seeing KP’s face light up at each moment of the day! I was so thrilled at how full of joy she was!

The Mom’s helping her get dressed and sharing some sweet hugs.

KP’s Grandma, who flew in from the Philippines, who was so fun and sassy! (She was on the dance floor all night, it was a kick to watch!)

Andrew’s sweet reaction to seeing KP for the first time, and the way he grabbed her in for a hug during the vows when she got emotional- one of my favorite images from the day!

How the golden hour felt like it just kept going and going, when we were worried we wouldn’t get much time.

The toasts!! These two got a tad roasted and took it like champs, but got a TON of love, too.

And then- the choreographed first dances!! Seriously, KP and her Dad and then Andrew and his Mom, all I can say is WOW!!!

Last but not least, they had planned on doing a cake cutting quietly, so we snuck out to the room where the cake was, which just happened to be by the photo booth- and the best photo bomb happened!

KP and Andrew, I love you two and will find a good excuse or two to see you again soon!
