Proposal at Timber Cove Resort in Jenner

When Chase contacted me about his proposal at Timber Cove Resort in Jenner, I was so excited as I had heard it was just gorgeous out there! The only issue was that he was trying to plan this during COVID, when the hotel was closed, with the hope that they would open soon. We kept in touch, moved the date, moved it again, he considered changing the spot to Dillion Beach, but in the end, we were thankfully able to use Timber Cove and I am so glad!

A year before, Hayley had Googled for a great place to eat dinner for Valentine’s Day, and Timber Cove popped up. They went to dinner there, and both commented on how great it would be to come back and spend a weekend. That’s when Chase knew it would be such a great place to propose!

It was nearing triple digits in Healdsburg that day, and I was so happy to drive out to the coast and enjoy the sights and the gorgeous 75 degree weather and coastal breeze. The plan was for me to text Chase when I arrived, and he would come out and meet me and show me the spot while Hayley was finishing up getting ready. There is zero cell reception out there, and the only wifi is what the resort offers guests; which of course went down 10 minutes before I got there lol. Thankfully it all worked out; but I know Chase was sweating a bit!

There were a few logistical things- of course when I arrived, there was another couple sitting together in the spot that Chase wanted to use (isn’t that always how it goes?). Thankfully they were gracious enough to move. And the walkway down was a bit more treacherous that it looked from my angle. Thank goodness she switched out of her stilettos!

Yep, it was windy, but we made it work and wow- the view. It’s kind of hard to really take it all in. They told me their view from their room was incredible!

The last surprise was at the end when they headed to dinner and family was there to celebrate with them! And as I walked back to my car, I had to grab my camera for one last photo of that sunset…there is just nothing like seeing all those colors fade into the night.

Side note- this proposal wasn’t the only one that had to be rescheduled during COVID! I photographed THIS one in Napa the day before, and THIS one the day after in Tahoe!
