Wedding at Copain Winery | Windsor, California

We couldn't have asked for a better day for this wedding at Copain Winery! I arrived at the hotel where the bride and her family were getting ready, and welcomed to a feeling of calm and excitement! Emily decided to keep things simple and had just her sister as her maid of honor. I loved how everyone spent time together getting ready, no rushing!

Emily and Michael had their first look across the street from Copain at Riverfront Regional park. It was so beautiful and peaceful out there! Several events were going on at the same time, but somehow it seemed they had the whole place to themselves. They also got to enjoy some extra time with family and friends there.

The ceremony was up on the hill, overlooking the vineyards and wow...what funny, beautiful and sweet words they spoke to each other during their vows. Secretly, one of my favorite parts of the ceremony was actually Michael's sister Jenny (did you pronounce it like Forrest Gump? No, just me?) who officiated and her reactions to the funny stories. I love when couples incorporate family or friends to officiate!

While I was photographing the reception details, I grabbed Macenzie from Milestone as she walked by me to "ooh and ahh" over the incredible lighting- there is a reason I love outdoor weddings so dang much!

The sunset out at Copain was ridiculously amazing! I live here and see sunsets over vineyards on a daily basis, and yet somehow, those views still blow me away! I am so thankful for Emily and Michael postponing eating their salad so we could grab those!

Lastly- guys, the dancing! I am not quiet about my love for wedding reception dancing, but this group took it to a new level! It's so rare to see a groom on the dance floor for the whole time- and Michael rocked it out there! And Emily's Dad! Seriously, you all made my night! They even belted out a Celine Dion ballad!

I had a blast, you two!
